CAMERA focuses on the use of simulation and innovative technologies as an educational method or intervention for professionals in all areas of health and social care education, workforce development and quality of care.

Technology Enhanced Learning

Our research investigates networked and online environments, innovative technologies, emergent pedagogies and online learner experiences. Building on innovations around these techno-pedagogical domains CAMERA focuses on questions concerning enabling humans for learning and teaching in personal, workplace and social contexts within healthcare settings. CAMERA brings together interdisciplinary expertise across psychology, educational and social sciences, computer science, organisational and management science to work together on innovative socio-technical solutions for learning practices thematised around

About C.A.M.E.R.A.

The Collaboration for the Advancement of Medical Education Research and Assessment (CAMERA) exists to improve healthcare through evidence-based education and to inform assessment in medical curricula across medical education. Funded, collaborative research by a multi-professional group impacts directly on the international literature, educational theory, practice and policy at Plymouth Peninsula, as well as nationally and internationally.
